WASHING

BEFORE WASHING, REMOVE ANY BACKCOMBING AND TANGLES BY COMBING WITH A WIDE TOOTH COMB OR WIG BRUSH,

FROM THE END TO THE BASE. FOR CURLY STYLES, USE FINGERS TO REMOVE TANGLES AND BACKCOMBING

IN A BASIN OF LUKE WARM WATER, APPLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF SHAMPOO TO CREATE A BUBBLE BATH SOLUTION

SUBMERGE THE WIG FOR 5-10 MINUTES, GENTLY SWISHING IN A SLOW CIRCULAR MOTION, ALWAYS IN THE SAME DIRECTION.

(AVOID RUBBING AS IT MAY CAUSE KNOTS). TURN WIG INSIDE OUT AND REPEAT, TO SOAK THE FRAME SIDE OF YOUR WIG

RINSE THOROUHGLY BY SOAKING IN COOL WATER UNTIL ALL SHAMPOO PRODUCT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REMOVED

CONDITIONING

APPLY A MILD CONDITIONER TO THE HAIR OF THE WIG, AVOIDING THE BASE CAP OF THE WIG (APPLYING CONDITIONER TO

THE BASE OF THE CAP MAY WEAKEN THE KNOTS)

WORK CONDITIONER USING FINGERS GENTLY TO THE ENDS OF THE HAIR. IF USING SPRAY IN CONDITIONER; APPLY AFTER

WASH, SPRAYING LIGHTLY AND EVENLY. ALLOW TO DRY

RINSE CONDITIONER THROUGHLY UNTIL WATER IS CLEAR

DRYING

WRAP WIG IN A TOWEL, PATTING GENTLY TO REMOVE EXCESS WATER. FOLLOW BY PLACING WIG ON A VENTED WIG STAND.

LIGHTLY FLUFF WITH WINGERS, AND ALLOW TO DRY NATURALLY. BLOW DRYING CAN BE DONE (WITH GENTLE BRUSHES)

STYLING

USE HEAT TREAT FOR YOUR HUMAN HAIR WIG, TAKING CARE NEVER TO BRUSH WHILE IT IS WET

CARING FOR SYNTHETIC WIGS

  • WASH EVERY TWO WEEKS IF WORN DAILY, OR EVERY 25 WEARS
  • TO SHAMPOO YOUR WIG, IMMERSE IN COOL WATER USING ONLY WIG SHAMPOO PRODUCTS DESIGNED FOR SYNTHETIC HAIR.
  • ADD ONE CAPFUL OF SYNTHETIC WIG SHAMPOO TO 8 CUPS COLD (NEVER HOT) WATER. LET SOAK FOR 10 MINUTES. TURN WIG INSIDE OUT TO CLEANSE THE INNER FRAME OF THE WIG.
  • RINSE GENTLY BY SOAKING TO REMOVE ALL EXCESS PRODUCT, THEN TOWEL DRY USING A DABBING TECHNIQUE
  • DO NOT SQUEEZE OR TWIST. DO NOT COMB OR BRUSH WHILE FIBERS ARE WET
  • SPRAY LEAVE IN CONDITIONER, AND PLACE WIG ON A VENTED HEAD STAND TO DRY

STYLING TIPS FOR SYNTHETIC FIBERS

  • NEVER USE A CURLING IRON OR BLOW DRYER ON SYNTHETIC FIBER, AS IT WILL CAUSE THE FIBERS TO MELT. *ANY SUDDEN BURST OF HEAT, SUCH AS OPENING AN OVEN OR BARBECUE WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOURSYNTHETIC HAIRPIECE*
  • LAY YOUR WIG ON A FLAT SURFACE TO DRY NATURALLY, OR DRAPE IT OVER A VENTED WIG HEAD SO THAT AIR CAN CIRCULATE AROUND IT. NEVER PUT A SYNTEHTIC HAIR PIECE ON A SOLID HEADSTAND OR BLOCK WHILE WET, AS IT WILL STRETCH THE CAP
  • ONLY BRUSH OR COMB AFTER YOUR HAIR PIECE HAS DRIED COMPLETELY
  • HEIGHT CAN BE ACHIEVED BY GENTLY LIFTING WITH YOUR BRUSH, OR YOUR WIG CAN BE STYLED CLOSER TO THE HEAD FOR A FLATTER LOOK. FULLNESS CAN BE ACHIEVED BY BACKCOMBING GENTLY, THEN SMOOTHING THE SURFACE HAIR.

  • IMMERSE YOUR WIG IN A COOL BATH WITH A CAPFUL OF SYTNETIC WIG SHAMPOO
  • GENTLY WASH & SOAK FOR 5 - 10 MINUTES & RINSE THOROUGHLY BY SOAKING, TAKING CARE NOT TO TANGLE HAIR. TURN WIG INSIDE OUT AND REPEAT
  • TOWEL BLOT CAP MATERIALS AND HAIR THOROUGHLY TO REMOVE EXCESS WATER, DO NOT SQUEEZE OR TWIST
  • APPLY HD SMOOTH DETANGLER LEAVE-IN
  • DO NOT BRUSH OR COMB WHILE YOUR WIG AS WET, AS IT MAY STRETCH OR DAMAGE HAIR FIBERS
  • PLACE WIG ON A VENTED HEAD STAND, ALLOWING TO DRY NATURALLY

STYLING TIPS FOR HD FIBER

  • FOR BEST RESULTS, DO NOT CURL OR STRAIGHTEN HAIR WHILE WEARING THE WIG
  • ALTHOUGH HD FIBER CAN WITHSTAND HEAT TOOLS UP TO 350°, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE BETWEEN 270° - 280°. **STRAIGHTENING OR CURLING ON REGULAR BASIS REDUCES FRIZZ**
  • AIR DRYING YOUR WIG INSTEAD OF BLOW DRYING CAN HELP MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE FIBER WHEN STRAIGHTENING, TAKE 1” - 1.5” SECTIONS, STARTING AT LEAST 2” AWAY FROM THE BASE, SLOWLY SMOOTH FLAT IRON TOWARDS ENDS, ALWAYS USING HEAT TREAT THERMAL SPRAY
  • WHEN CURLING, TAKE 1” - 1.5” SECTION OF HAIR (SMALLER SECTIONS - TIGHTER CURL, LARGE SECTION - LOOSER CURL) & HOLD FOR 10 -15 SECONDS, ALWAYS USING HEAT TREAT THERMAL SPRAY

TESTIMONIALS

  • When I needed a wig I never thought it could look like my natural curly hair.  You did a great job and I feel great wearing my same natural look.

    Regards, Amanda
  • A client with alopecia sent me a nice message when I checked in to see how she was managing her new wig; Funny story, she replied...I was at the grocery store a few weeks ago in the check out when a woman behind me said, "excuse me, but can I ask you where you get your hair done?  I love the cut and colour it looks beautiful."  I said a friend of mine that owns a wig salon in Oshawa.  It took me so off guard but it was nice to hear this.  I also told 2 girls in their early 30’s on the weekend of my condition and they were shocked.  They thought that I just was one of the lucky ones with great hair.

  • I had just lost a lot of my hair from chemotherapy and was able to make an appointment at your salon very quickly.  I was so impressed with the wig selection and the stylist made my experience so much fun.  At a very stormy time in my life you made me feel so welcome and hopeful.  I love my new wig and my family and friends say it looks real and awesome.  Thank you for all your compassion and kindness.

  • Losing your hair is a very difficult side effect of Chemo, but when I bought my wig at Blossom, Christy was amazing.  She made me feel so comfortable and made this experience very enjoyable.  Also, the wig is absolutely perfect as I have now regained my confidence.

    Thanks for everything!  Josee'

  • I have been struggling with Alopecia for over 8 years.  Since I found Yvonne, I am able to feel comfortable and once again beautiful in any situation.  She provides a very warm and private environment to test out which wig is best suited for you.  Yvonne is amazing!

  • Thank you for the time and patients and most importantly the warm private environment.  Who knew this could actually be a fun experience?

    Best wishes, Audrey
  • Thank you for all your support and positive attitude during my cancer journey.  Your professional and caring thoughts were very much appreciated and helped me to get through this challenging journey.

  • Thank you for the support during my hair loss experience.  I’m so glad my physician recommended you!  The way you cut and transformed the wig to look exactly like my style was amazing.

    Best wishes, Colette
  • Getting the cancer diagnosis and the hair loss was very difficult.  Your professionalism and compassion was greatly appreciated.  The time you spent with me put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands.

    Kind regards, Claire
  • After I left your place with my new human hair wig haircut, I went to Costco and 2 of the staff members that I know were so over the top with compliments about my fabulous hair, and how great I looked (they have no clue it is a wig).  That just put a huge smile on my face.  I also realized I had been cocooning a bit, not wanting to go out with just a cap or wrap on.  Having 'hair' makes me feel 'normal' and there is definitely a great sense of freedom with it. I can't thank you enough for helping me through this process, you are amazing!!  I will definitely be referring anyone I know who needs one to you.  I love my new human hair wig!!

  • My family is really amazed with my new human hair wig and how the colour and highlights are just like my own.  I really appreciate your kindness.

    Sincerely, Fatima
